I'm Jim Thirtyacre,

Photography has been the focus of my life since, at 12 years old, I saved all my paper route money and purchased a small home darkroom. I took over a hall closet, processed my first roll of B&W film and created my first print, I never looked back. 

After a career working as a professional photographer in San Francisco for 35 years, and raising a family there, creating imagery is still my passion. 

Photography became my life’s work. I began that work with vastly different tools than I'm using now! The world of Analog was still in charge and film, paper and chemistry were used to create hand made art. I experienced the change from Analog to Digital first hand, I assisted a former assistant to Ansel Adams on my first digital shoot!
